Privacy Policy: Routine – Recurring Tasks for Jira

Last updated: 25 October 2026

This policy covers the Jira app “Routine – Recurring Tasks for Jira” by Layerwise Labs. The website itself has its own privacy policy.

Who is responsible

Layerwise Labs, a trade name of Aljoscha Schunter PR Aljoscha IT, Seljačkih buna 59, 21000 Novi Sad, Serbia. Email: hello@layerwiselabs.com.

For the content of your Jira site, your organization is the controller and Layerwise Labs acts on its behalf. Atlassian hosts and runs the app for you.

Where your data stays

The app is built on Atlassian Forge and runs entirely on Atlassian’s cloud. It sends no data to servers of Layerwise Labs or of anyone else, uses no analytics or tracking and sets no cookies. Layerwise Labs has no access to your Jira site or to the data the app stores. Hosting, data residency and security follow Atlassian’s terms, see atlassian.com/legal/privacy-policy.

What the app stores

In the Forge storage of your Jira site, the app keeps, for each recurring task:

On every issue it creates, the app sets a small issue property with the ID of the recurring task and the date, so that it never creates the same issue twice. It reads the issues, projects, users and boards it needs through Jira’s own interfaces, with your permissions, and does not copy them anywhere else.

Why

The data is used only to create the issues you scheduled, to show their history and to prevent duplicates. This is needed to provide the app you installed (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR).

How long

A recurring task and its history are deleted when you delete it in the app. Issues already created stay in Jira like any other issue. When the app is uninstalled, Atlassian deletes its stored data according to its own retention rules. When an Atlassian account is closed, the app removes that account ID from its records once Atlassian reports the closure.

Support requests

If you contact support by email, your address and message are used only to answer you and are deleted once they are no longer needed, unless tax or commercial law requires keeping them.

Your rights

You have the right to access, correct, delete or restrict the processing of your data, to data portability and to object to processing. Because the data lives in your Jira site, your Jira administrator can usually help first; you can also write to the address above. You may complain to a data protection authority, for example in your country of residence. Under Serbian law, the competent authority is the Commissioner for Information of Public Importance and Personal Data Protection (poverenik.rs).
