Service for EU importers
CBAM data from your Western Balkan suppliers
Without actual data from the manufacturer, your CBAM bill is based on EU default values plus a mark-up that reaches 30 % from 2028. We are based in Novi Sad, talk to your suppliers in their own language, collect the evidence at the plant and hand you a data sheet in English and German, ready for your verifier.

CBAM calculator: default value or actual data

Your expected value is above the default value with mark-up, so for this good the default value is the better basis.
Euro figures are tonnes times your price, before the reduction for free allocation that lowers the actual bill considerably in the first years.
Rough estimate, not legal advice. Default values: Implementing Regulation (EU) 2025/2621, Annex I, as corrected by Implementing Regulation (EU) 2026/1740. Your entries stay in your browser.
Supplier data collection, step by step
Your suppliers deliver their figures once, with evidence. We do the explaining, chasing and calculating.
Kickoff with you
Which suppliers, which goods by CN code, which volumes. One call is usually enough.
Contact in the supplier’s language
We call your supplier, explain what CBAM asks for and send a short checklist in Serbian: electricity and fuel bills, purchased precursors and who made them, production volumes, scrap.
Evidence instead of forms
The supplier sends invoices and delivery notes. We read out the figures, and the supplier confirms them.
Calculation by the EU method
Direct emissions of the installation and of purchased precursors, compared with the default value. Our calculation engine reproduces the worked example in the European Commission’s CBAM guidance.
Results for you
A data sheet in English and German for each supplier and good, plus a document pack for the accredited verifier.
Every year again
We update the figures with the supplier’s new annual values.
Who it is for
- EU importers of steel and aluminium goods
- You buy screws, profiles, sheet, wire or structures from manufacturers in Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, North Macedonia or Montenegro and want your CBAM figures to rest on actual data.
- Customs agents and CBAM software providers
- Your clients need supplier data from the Balkans. We collect it on site as your subcontractor or under your brand, and the client relationship stays with you.
- Clear roles
- The verification comes from an accredited verifier, whom we are happy to bring in. The CBAM declaration stays with you or your customs agent, and legal questions with your adviser. We deliver the supplier data.
- Why now
- The mark-up on default values rises from 10 % in 2026 to 30 % from 2028. The European Commission has also proposed extending CBAM to many downstream steel and aluminium products, such as fasteners and structures.
Questions
Which goods does the calculator cover?
Iron and steel (CN chapters 72 and 73, plus agglomerated iron ore) and aluminium (chapter 76): every code with a default value in Annex I of Implementing Regulation (EU) 2025/2621, as corrected by Implementing Regulation (EU) 2026/1740. Where a country has no value of its own for a code, the value for other countries applies, as the annex prescribes.
Why does the calculator count only direct emissions?
For iron, steel and aluminium, only direct emissions count under the CBAM Regulation (Annex II of Regulation (EU) 2023/956).
What does the euro estimate include?
Tonnes of CO2e multiplied by the certificate price you enter, nothing more. During the phase-in, the CBAM obligation is reduced to reflect free allocation under the EU ETS, so the actual bill in the first years is considerably lower. Use the figure to compare default and actual data, not as a forecast.
What does the service cost?
A fixed price after a first call, depending on the number of suppliers and goods. The first call is free.
Does the calculator send my data anywhere?
No. It runs entirely in your browser. Only the table of default values is loaded from this website; nothing you enter leaves the page.
Name two suppliers
In a 30-minute call we look at two of your suppliers and show you what actual data would change there. Free and without obligation.
